The Oak Ridge Homestead has been part of the Smith Family for several generations. It was the original homestead of Lee and Letha Smith upon their marriage in the early 1940’s, with the land being part of a larger Smith family farm before that. Today, the homestead is owned and operated by Andrew and Elizabeth Smith. We operate a small, boutique flower farm, muscadine vineyard, and grow other crops such as pumpkins and sweet sorghum. Located less than a mile from NC HWY 24/27 in the rural community of Red Cross, NC, the homestead boasts a beautiful, distant view of Morrow Mountain and is surrounded by hundreds of acres of farmland and woodlands teeming with wildlife. Like those who came before us, it is our goal to steward this land to the best of our ability and to share its beauty with others.
